Who Is... Arinn Dembo? Arinn Dembo is a professional writer with over seventeen years of experience. Her reviews, articles, features and fiction have appeared in too many print and on-line publications to list, including The New York Review of Science Fiction, Computer Gaming World,The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, H.P. Lovecraft's Magazine of Horror, The Vancouver Courier, and Pretty-Scary.net. She has provided background fiction, scripts and design elements to six computer games to date, including Homeworld, Homeworld: Cataclysm, Ground Control, Arcanum, Sword of the Stars, and Sword of the Stars: Born of Blood. The most recent publication of her work, Sword of the Stars: The Collector's Edition, has shipped with her full length novel "The Deacon's Tale" included in the box--this is a full-length science fiction adventure set in her Sword of the Stars universe. Although she supports herself mainly by writing, she is also an avid photographer, with a keen interest in erotica and botanical fine art. Her work has been represented in galleries in Seattle, Detroit, and her home state of Tennessee, and her erotic photographs have appeared several times in Denmark's Cupido Magazine. At present she is pursuing a degree in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee, and will be spending the summer of 2008 working at an archaeological site in Greece. In her spare time (WHAT spare time?) She maintains a lively interest in independent film and enjoys working with independent film makers, especially those specializing in horror. She can be seen as a cameo performer in the Gonzoriffic short "Cannibal Sisters", as well as Shy-By-Day's first feature presentation, "Jesus H. Zombie". |
